Daniel Sheflin - Veteran Engineering Leader in Tech and Energy

A seasoned engineering executive with decades of experience in mechanical and control systems, Daniel Sheflin has held leadership positions with General Electric and Honeywell. In these roles, Daniel Sheflin managed large engineering teams and worked on projects involving energy efficiency, manufacturing systems, and product development.

At General Electric, Mr. Sheflin served as general manager of the locomotive division from 1996 to 2001. He oversaw engineering and delivery of a prototype fleet that met updated government emissions requirements and targeted improvements in fuel use. He later joined Honeywell, where he served as vice president of technology for the Automation Control Solutions segment. There, he was responsible for managing product development across a global workforce of engineers and scientists, with a focus on reducing production timelines and increasing product rollout.

Daniel Sheflin earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and metallurgy from the University at Buffalo and completed a master’s degree in control engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Outside of work, he supports causes related to youth development, including FIRST Robotics and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. His personal interests include cycling, cooking, and motorsports.
